(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)  – Christmas is less than a month away and Mustangs are getting excited. The holidays can have special meanings to everyone and a few Mustangs are eager to share their traditions.

Junior Maddie Pierce has her entire family over at her house for Christmas Eve and they all watch “The Polar Express,” drink hot chocolate, and camp in the backyard. Then in the morning, everyone opens gifts while her grandparents tell the story “True Meaning of Christmas.”

“It’s a great opportunity to see my family,” she said.

Freshman Dallas Rodriguez travels to his side-house in Texas with his brother every Christmas Eve. They buy each other gifts in the airport then open them during the plane-ride.

He said, “Christmas is my whole family’s favorite holiday and I look forward to the trip every year.”

Senior Kevin Bass goes to his grandmother’s house every year on Christmas morning. The whole family shows up and they all go to the beach for brunch.

“I love spending time with my family,” he said.
