Peyton McLaughlin – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS varsity girls and boys varsity soccer teams continue their seasons with double-header wins.

Tuesday night at Riverview High school, the boys’ soccer team won 5-1 against the Rams.

LRHS senior Pablo Vargas lead the Mustangs with three goals, including junior Travis Freeman and sophomore Gio Christiano both scoring one goal.

LRHS junior Alex Thompson said, “It’s a district game, so it felt nice to win by a lot. It was a great start to districts.”

Tuesday night the girls team also played against the Rams, and they won 3-0.

LRHS senior Faith Schyck led the Mustangs with all three goals.

Sophomore Morgan DeGlopper said, “I felt like the game went really well, we played as a team and worked really hard together.”

The next game for the boys is Thursday, Nov. 30 at Sarasota High School and the next game for the girls is Thursday, Nov. 30 at home against Sarasota High School.
