Senior years can be a mixed bag

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – With graduation still well around the corner, some Mustang seniors are already stressing out about college applications, scholarships, and exactly what they are going to do after high school.

Graduation will be held May 18 at the Bradenton Area Convention Center.  Before the seniors walk into their futures they will have to focus on the present, which means college applications, senior fees, scholarships, senior pictures, and all the testing that they will need to complete before going off to college.

“I am most stressed about getting into the college that I want to,” said senior Sarah Watts. “I think the most exciting part about being a senior is all the fun events that they have planned for us.”

Although there are many stressful parts about being a senior, there are some exciting parts, too. LRHS seniors get privileges, special treats given out throughout the year. So far, the seniors have received a crunch candy bar, and a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich. A couple of other exciting events that have taken place for the seniors are senior sweatshirt orders, and the painting of senior parking spots.

“My favorite part of senior year is getting to finish out my high school career with all of my friends,” said senior Grace Sever.

For any questions about applications, scholarships, or any other college questions, Mustangs can see college and career adviser Michelle Todoroff in room 610.
