(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- “The Ranch Round-up is a great opportunity for alumni, parents, and community members to visit and see what the great things we have going on at the Ranch!”

That’s what LRHS FFA officials say about their “Ranch Round-up” flyer. This event is a fundraiser where members of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) program get the opportunity to introduce themselves to the public and to display all their hard work.

The event takes place on at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9 in the LRHS cafeteria. Some activities taking place will be a tour of the land lab as well as a silent auction.

FFA sophomore Kylie Jankowski said, “It’s our biggest fundraiser of the year. The main event is the silent auction which takes place during a steak dinner.”

The silent auction does have a few high selling items, such as lightning tickets, homemade baskets, and country club golf memberships.

Jankowski added, “Important people from all around the county are invited to come and many return each year. From around 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., about 600 people total gather together to support the program.”
