(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Student Government Association (SGA) is now holding its annual Angel Tree Christmas charity event.

This event is sponsored by the Salvation Army, and works to provide Christmas presents for children with disadvantaged parents. Donations are given to these less fortunate children, and a note from their parent is included.

“This is one of my favorite things we do all year in SGA,” said senior Kailey Carpenter. “I always participate in this charity because I think it is really meaningful and special. I can’t wait to pick out my present for the child I chose.”

Students from SGA will walk around during lunches for the next few weeks to give Mustangs the opportunity to get involved with the charity.

Mustangs will be able to choose the gender and age of their child, and will then be given a list of present options as well as what size clothing and shoe the child is.

The presents are due to room 602 by Nov. 17.
