(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- This past Tuesday, region five HOSA (formerly Health Occupations Students of America) had its annual Fall Conference in Arcadia.  The purpose of the conference was to elect the regional officers and go over competitions for this coming year.

Sophomore Kelsey Le, who attended the conference, said, “We listened to some speeches and elected the new officers for the region. We also had a contest where we made posters for this year’s theme and the regional officers chose the nicest one.”

This year’s theme is Create Your Future. HOSA wants to urge students and members to take a look at their future and start planning it.

The conference also discussed Regional Competition, which is Feb. 9 at Keiser University.
