Mustang cross-country ready for season to continue

Bailey Wegenast – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS cross-country team is getting ready for their next race, taking place this Saturday at Bradenton’s GT Bray Park.

With the team bringing home four first-place trophies from the previous Tri-county meet at Venice High, the stakes are even higher for the last junior varsity (JV) meet of the season.

JV runner senior Cameron Ezazi is hoping for a new personal record to end the season with. “I’m looking to make it under 23 minutes for a new PR,” he said.

Ezazi is “ready to go” and excited to get to the start line of his last high school race.

There will be two 5K races at GT Bray Park, one for JV and varsity girls, and one for the JV and Varsity boys.
