Corinna Lunsford – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The season is over for our LRHS girls’ volleyball team.  After winning against the Braden River Pirates this past Monday, making it to district semi- finals, the LRHS girls met their match in the Venice Indians.

Three strong sets of hard work by LRHS girls, but they had not quite pulled through. With final scores of 10-25, 11-25, and 9-25 they lost to Venice.

But this was not a disappointment, according to coach Perri Hankins, who says they did their best and never gave up.

“It was a great season for us, the team got along very well. There was a lot of success with many wins through hard work.” Hankins stated that they have had a lot of fun despite the losses and that’s what matters. “Altogether those factors make up a very wonderful season for our girls, especially for our seniors, who can leave proud.”
