(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS volleyball team won their Senior Night game on Thursday, Oct. 5 at home against Braden River High School. This was the Mustangs’ seventh win of the season.

LRHS won their matches 25-22, 23-25, 12-25, 25-13, and 16-14.

As the teams were tied two sets to two and starting to lose hope, senior Ciarra Scarbrough pulled the team aside and said, “We are not going to lose. This is Senior Night and this is our night.”

Coach Perri Hankins said, “Ciarra’s speech really helped to motivate the team and they were able to push through and win the game.”

Sophomore Maddie Koczersut said, “We’ve come a long way since last year and I wouldn’t trade this team for the world.”
