Markella Paradissis-Wagner – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Middle school students had the opportunity to see what it’s like to be a Marching Mustang at 5:30 p.m. on Sep. 28 during Middle School Band Night.

The middle school kids rehearsed with the band and then performed in the pre-game show on the field before Thursday night’s football game. During the game, they danced and played in the stands.

Middle School Band Night is important for recruitment because it gives younger kids the opportunity to see the how the band functions and is a fantastic experience to look forward to when they enter high school.

Sophomore trumpet player Matthew Shelton participated when he was in middle school, and remembered, “It was really fun. It positively influenced me to join band.”
