(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Homecoming dance took place last Saturday, Sept. 23. Many students said it was an extremely fun and successful Homecoming.

This was LRHS Student Government Association (SGA) adviser Heather Kasper’s first year planning it. Kasper had to overcome special difficulties this year, especially considering the fact that students missed the previous whole week of school due to Hurricane Irma.

“Last week had a lot going on,” Kasper said. “I would say it was more stressful because of Irma and all the complications, like how back to school night and movie night took place at the same time.”

Kasper also made sure to mention that she could have never pulled this year’s Homecoming off if it wasn’t for the students. She stated, “The students were able to make it happen. The week before Homecoming we stayed here every day and they even came into school during our week off just to help.”

Kasper said, “I think it was great overall, and I’ve learned a lot of stuff that can help me in the upcoming years.”
