Emma Brooks and Manoela Dos Santos – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)-  On Oct. 1 Manatee County volunteers will gather to “Stuff the Bus.”  All donations will benefit The Food Bank of Manatee County.

LRHS Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and Lakewood Leaders members are volunteering from 8:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The event will be held at 15 different Publix locations in Manatee County. Each Publix location has set up collection stations for local members of the community to donate non-perishable foods.

Some of the non-perishable foods include canned vegetables, canned fruits, boxed rice, boxed pasta, and canned soups. They are working to meet their goal of 125,000 pounds of food for the Manatee County Food Bank.

Anyone looking to volunteer who is under the age of 18 need a parent or guardian to fill out a liability waiver.
