Brady Roberts – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Thursday night the LRHS varsity football Mustangs defeated North Port 28-13, moving their record to 3-0.

After a 2-6 record in 2016, senior Andres Mendieta said, “it’s a relief that we have a better record this year than last year and having plenty of more winnable games ahead of us.”

With five games remaining in the boys’ schedule, they will be looking to continue their winning streak through the end of the season.

Head coach Mick Koczersut said, “I’m very excited for the kids, this is the first time we have been 3-0 in a long time. It shows a lot about their hard work and perseverance.”

The next game will be an away game on Monday, Oct. 9 against Venice.
