(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Fresh off a 23-21 Homecoming victory against Springstead, the LRHS varsity football Mustangs will look to stay hot as they take on the North Port Bobcats.

The Mustangs and Bobcats will face off at 7:00 p.m., on Sept. 28.

Last week, during the annual Homecoming game, LRHS held on late to secure their second win of the season.

Although two games have been cancelled due to bad weather, the Mustangs are 2-0 this season.

Head Mustangs football coach Mick Koczersut said that every game is the same, “The goal is to win.”

Junior Gio Silvestri said that the team is confident heading into their third game of the year, “It was good to get a win last week, but we have to stay focused and concentrate on North Port.”
