(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) had their annual rally at Braden River High School this past weekend. The rally hosted all Technology Student Association (TSA), Family Career Community Leader of America (FCCLA), HOSA, SKILLS USA, and FFA club members in Manatee County.
Guest speaker Rhett Laubach played trust and memory games with the audience. He made the audience play games such as team clapping and name that show.
“It was fun singing/screaming all of my favorite tv show theme songs like Friends,” sophomore Kelsey Le said.
Laubach later went on to tell everyone about how he got a benign brain tumor that helped him realize that people are put on this earth to serve others, resulting in his hashtag #livetoserve initiative.
The rally ended with a spirit competition between all the schools, with Braden River winning the high school spirit stick.
“It was very refreshing to see all those teenagers up so early in the morning to attend an event for school,” LRHS FCCLA adviser and Early Childhood Education teacher Elaine Bowling said.
