(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Tuesday, Sept. 19 was the second day of LRHS Homecoming week. Today’s theme was Disney Day.

Students got to dress up as their favorite Disney characters.

Senior Andres Mendieta said, “I dressed up as Aladdin with my girlfriend who is Jasmine. I enjoy this day because Aladdin has always been my favorite. It was fun to put the costume together with her mom.”

Junior Keely Radloff said, “Tigger was a cute idea, and I am really glad I did it. Showing my spirit through a character is always fun.”

At 7:30 p.m., there will be a movie on the football field. The movie playing will be “Hook.”

Wednesday will be Cradle to the Grave day. Teachers will be prehistoric, freshman will be babies, sophomores will be toddlers, juniors will be adults, and seniors will be senior citizens.

Thursday will be Athletes vs. Mathletes, and later that night will be the annual Homecoming bonfire.

Friday will be spirit day and there will be a tailgate that starts an hour before the game. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.

At 7 p.m.  a hotdog eating contest will take place on the track.

Meanwhile, the LRHS Homecoming dance is scheduled for Saturday night at the Lakewood Ranch gym. Tickets cost $20 and will be on sale through Saturday at the door; however, students should anticipate a long entry line.  Students can purchase tickets in the cafeteria during any of the three lunches until Friday.
