(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Now that Hurricane Irma has passed, LRHS has been busy getting ready for the return of students and staff.

LRHS administrators thank the community for their patience and efforts during the hurricane. Principal Craig Little said, “Despite the uncertainty and hazardous weather, the LRHS community came together and did a great job assisting the evacuees who came to the school, and made their stay as comfortable as possible.”

Little added, “We also want to thank all the volunteers who have been here through the week helping get the campus ready for the return of students next Monday. This spirit of cooperation and generosity help make our school special.”

Due to Hurricane Irma, the Sept. 14 School Advisor Committee (SAC) meeting has been cancelled.

Students first day back will be on Monday, Sept. 18, and will be an “odd” day. Homecoming week activities will continue as scheduled.

Meanwhile, first quarter progress reports have been rescheduled for Friday, Sept. 22.
