LRHS twins’ mom faces divided loyalties

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- What would you do if your mother was in charge of your greatest rival?

That’s the situation facing LRHS seniors Ciarra and Holden Scarborough.  Their mother, Sharon, is the new Principal of Braden River High School.

One would expect a mother working as a Principal at a high school to be demanding, with early mornings and late hours. However, it is quite the opposite. In fact, it is easier than coping with their mother’s previous Principal jobs.

Sharon was a Principal at Buffalo Creek Middle School for one year, at W.D. Sugg Middle School for five years, and at Carlos E. Haile Middle School for three years.

Holden said, “She likes it better than being in charge of a middle school. We are all happy for her and her new job position.”

Ciarra explained, “It’s actually easier than when she was working for the elementary school. She’s home earlier and that makes things better.”

With Ciarra as varsity volleyball player at LRHS, her mom has a decision to make during the rival game against Braden River. Who will she root for?

The twins’ mom stated, “Of course I will root for my daughter, she’s my daughter over anything else.”
