Emma McIntyre – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS football season is underway. Football games, especially homecoming, are some of the school’s most heavily attended and eagerly anticipated events. Following a few simple tips can help make each game a special night.
- Buy a Sports Pass
For easy and quick access into the stadium, it’s best to purchase a sports pass. Instead of having to dig for your money, you can just show them your pass and walk in. Sports passes count for all Lakewood sporting events and can save you plenty of time and money.
2. Bring Extra Money
Restaurants like Chick-Fil-A and Smoothie King tend to cater at our home games, so bring a little extra money if you think you’ll get hungry. The concession stand is also open every game for food and drinks.
3. Get to the Stadium Early
Football games are very popular here at LRHS and many attend, which makes it almost impossible to find seats for you and your friends. If you get there early, you can get comfortable seats with a good view of the field. However, there is a section for only parents to sit in, so be careful not to sit there.
4. Be Sure to Attend the Games with Some Friends
The games are ten times more fun when you have friends to cheer with you. Be sure to bring someone you’re close with for a really good time.
5. Don’t be Afraid to Show Your School Spirit
Don’t forget to wear LRHS colors when attending a game, whether it be a t-shirt, face paint, or some green and black beads. The reason the games are so eventful is because of the cheering and screaming in the stands, so don’t be afraid to let loose and cheer on your Mustangs.
