(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Lakewood Leaders is one of LRHS’ most popular community service clubs, with around 200 members joining every year.

Students interested in Lakewood Leaders can meet after school on Thursday, Aug. 24, in the auditorium.

Club adviser and LRHS math teacher Meghan Sugalski believes there are many benefits of joining the club, “It is an easy way to keep track of your hours to make sure you get what you need for Bright Futures.”

In order to keep track of members’ hours Lakewood Leaders officers log the hours from the sign-in sheets they receive from each event. Sugalski advises members to make sure they sign in and out of the event they are doing to get the proper number of hours.

Lakewood Leaders President senior Daniel Wilkinson has a lot of experience and duties as an officer.

“I feel like I’m behind all the action and putting it all together, which makes me feel accomplished.” As the President, Wilkinson has been preparing everyone’s roles in the club, making sure the website is up and working properly and the club runs smoothly.
