IDs now required at LRHS

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Starting Tuesday, Mustangs are required to wear student IDs every day.

“We want to make sure everyone on campus is in fact a student at Lakewood Ranch High School,” said Principal Craig Little. “We also like being able to address you by your names if we’re talking to you.”

Students without IDs will be disciplined. Little mentioned, “This school wide rule is consistently enforced and the rules don’t change for anyone”.

According to the Disciplinary Matrix of Lakewood Ranch High, students who fail to display IDs will have to pay for a new one in the office. A second time means buying a new ID and serving detention after school. By failing a third time, students get extra school (on Saturday). Mustangs will receive one day of In-School Suspension (ISS) by not presenting an ID the fourth time, and two days of ISS for not wearing an ID for a fifth time.
