(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – There are four lunch lines and many meal options to choose from at LRHS.

A few of the school’s lunch officials pointed out the staggering size of the daily lunch routine.

Cafeteria worker Josh Miller stated, “I honestly don’t know how many students we are serving for lunch, but I would say roughly 1,000 since it is just the first week of school.”

The cafeteria manager Carolyn Henderson also shared her thoughts about how many kids the school is serving, “All the freshman are scared to get lunch, I think. I would say we serve at least 1,300 students for lunch.”

Miller said, “The popcorn chicken bowl is definitely the most popular.” The popcorn chicken bowl includes popcorn chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, tortilla chip strips, and cheese.

Henderson saw things a bit differently.

“The boneless chicken wings,” she said, “with curly fries are the most popular.”

Freshman Sofia Fonsecia said, “The lunch line is super long, but I am really lucky to have lunch with my friends for my freshman year.”
