Simmons takes role as testing coordinator

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS welcomes new Testing Coordinator Jeffrey Simmons this year.

Jeff Simmons is the new LRHS testing coordinator

Originally from Michigan, the 42-year-old Simmons comes from long experience of teaching as he began his career in 2000. He now continues into his 17th year of teaching as not only a testing coordinator, but as a coach, too.

Simmons says he got his first break at LRHS as both the football and track coach and was later offered the testing position.

His job consists of working with staff, administrators, and complicated technology to facilitate standardized testing programs. Going into his new job, Simmons is most nervous about technical malfunctions which can lead to minor setbacks.

Simmons hopes his current position to be a stepping stone to bigger job opportunities throughout the years.

He plans to keep his work ethic positive by “jumping right into things and getting them done.”
