Breelyn Clement – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Starting this school year, Lakewood Ranch High School’s former dean Michael Staker has been promoted to assistant principal.

As the new assistant principal, Staker’s duties and responsibilities have extended.

New assistant principal Michael Staker is glad to take on his increased responsibilities.

“I oversee all disciplinary actions, oversee all AP courses, and I am in charge of school safety,” Staker said.

In the future, he hopes to work his way up to principal of a high school.

“In order to be a principal, you must first be an assistant principal,” he said.

Staker has always wanted to be the principal of a high school. He enjoys being able to help students of all grade levels, which allows him to be able to connect with the student on a more personal level, as well as open up opportunities for success.

Staker said he’s very excited to be able to help more students onto their pathways of success.
