(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The new school year is here and so are the new HOSA officers.

Senior Allison Fox, president, sophomore Adina Mayo, vice president, senior Anthony Pistella, student advisor, senior Sarah O’Neil, parliamentarian, sophomore Kelsey Le, secretary, sophomore Morgan Deglopper, treasurer, sophomore Nicolette Ngov, historian, and sophomore Cameron Willis, reporter are all excited to lead this year’s LRHS HOSA chapter.

“I joined HOSA because I’ve always been interested in the health field,” said Fox. “I decided to run to get more involved with the club and help the club reach its full potential.”

Pistella commented, “I want to have a future in the medical field, so I joined to expand my horizons.”

O’Neil said, “I joined HOSA as a returning member on account of my interest in being a Nurse Practitioner and regard for health services.”

Le said, “I became an officer to expand my leadership capabilities.”

Deglopper commented, “I ran for treasurer because I really wanted to make an impact on the organization and I didn’t think that I’d have the commitment for the other positions.  I thought that I’d be best fit for treasurer due to my understanding of monetary relations.”

Ngov said, “I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and learn how to be a better leader.”

Willis said, “I ran so I could make the club better.”

HOSA’s first meeting is scheduled for 2:10-3:10 p.m., Aug. 17.
