(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Drama Club will begin its activities after school, Aug. 28, in the auditorium.

Theater department director Roxanne Caravan believes the club is a great opportunity for students to express themselves in front of other people.

“In theatre we teach a lot of diversity so it kind of opens up your world to help you to learn new things,” she said. “Drama helps kids to be able to get up in front of people and feel comfortable in their surroundings.”

Caravan knew she wanted to become a drama teacher after college when she realized she enjoyed directing people. Rather than go into show business, however, Caravan chose teaching.
