(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) is having a summer prep program for Leadership Education and Training (LET) 1 students, or incoming freshmen, to learn about JROTC.

Students can sign up for the program by contacting LRHS JROTC instructor Lt. Col. Richard Roller.  The program runs August 1-3.

Attendees will learn ranks, chain of command, proper uniform wear, movements and complete cadet challenge. Becoming a part of JROTC is a great opportunity to learn more about America’s military.

Junior Morgan Lingle has spent three years in JROTC and said, “This program allows cadets that come to the prep program to learn the JROTC basics and get a step up against the other cadets before the school year starts.”
