(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- As the year begins to die down the LRHS FFA begins to prepare for the biggest competitions of the year held at the annual FFA state convention.

There are a total of 12 students representing LRHS and nine students competing June 11-16 in Orlando.

Freshman Kylee Graham is competing on the junior chapter team for conduct of chapter meetings.

“I am super excited because the competition is a mix between my two favorite competitions and it test my knowledge on running a meeting effectively,” said Graham.

The convention also consists of multiple workshops that help sharpen leadership skills.

LRHS FFA adviser Susan Grainger explained how exciting it is to see so many people representing LRHS in competition.

“We have many familiar faces to compete in states like juniors Jessica Bierds with prepared public speaker and extemporaneous speaking with Cara Zeveny,” said Grainger.
