Summer camps mean plenty of vacation activity at LRHS

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- With the school year ending, many of the LRHS sports teams will be having summer camps for younger kids.

There are many different sports for kids such as basketball, baseball, football, and volleyball.

Coed basketball camps at the LRHS gymnasium. The camp weeks are June 12-15, June 19-22, July 10-13, and July 17-20.  Camp will be 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. There are four weeks of basketball camps and the price is $140 without a provided lunch or $164 with a provided lunch.  Contact head varsity basketball coaches Jeremy Shiller or Tina Hadley with any questions.

A volleyball camp will also be held during the summer, June 5-8 and July 24-27 at the LRHS gymnasium and will last from 9 a.m.-2p.m. The camps will consist of Individual Instruction, drill competitions, position related techniques, and volleyball games. The camp will cost $150 dollars for each or $250 for both. Contact head varsity volleyball coach Perrilee Hankins with any questions.

LRHS football camps will be held from June 5-9. The camp will consist of football fundamentals, agility drills, position related techniques, competitive drill competitions, and flag football games. The camp cost $125 and takes place from 9a.m. to 2p.m. The camp is for kids entering grade first through ninth. Any questions contact LRHS head varsity football coach Mick Koczersut.

There will be one-week long LRHS baseball camp for kids age 5-13 from June 26-30 and a father/son camp on June 17. The camp will take place at the LRHS baseball fields. With any questions please contact LRHS head baseball coach Ryan Kennedy.
