Mustangs hope to dance for charity

Taylor Jefferson – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS junior Alyssa Morford and sophomore Spencer Waid are working on a new club for students to join.

The club they are organizing will be named “Mustang for Kids.”

“The club is to host a dance marathon to raise money for all children’s hospital,” said Morford.

A dance marathon is an event featuring students and volunteers who participate in an all-day event. Morford added, “The event will be filled with auctions, fundraisers, performance’s, games and much more.”

She continued, “My team and I are partnering with the University of South Florida to raise money through a dance marathon.” Anyone and everyone is welcome to join the dance marathon.

The club will allow students to make an impact on not only Lakewood Ranch, but St. Petersburg’s All Children’s Hospital, also. The club’s goal is to raise $15,000.
