Prom’s in two weeks…get ready

Sarah Watts – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The 2017 LRHS Prom is less than a month away, and Mustangs are planning for this enchanted evening now more than ever.

The Prom will be held at the Sarasota Hyatt from 8 p.m. – 12 a.m. Mustangs must bring their tickets and a form of ID to the prom. The Hyatt will provide a limited amount of snack foods for the prom. There will be a limited amount of parking at the Hyatt, so it is recommended to arrive as early as possible. Valet parking is available for $22.

Mustangs are advised to not bring any valuable items or large amounts of money, as there is no place to check in items.

Prom tickets cost more starting April 17.  Originally, tickets were $70 for juniors and $60 for seniors, and beginning Monday, they will increase by $5. Late ticket sales will continue until April 23. If an upperclassman wants to bring an underclassman, the upperclassmen must buy the underclassman’s ticket under his or her own name, and the underclassman must bring an LRHS ID to the dance to prove they attend LRHS. If an upperclassman wants to bring a non-Mustang, they must submit a guest form to the office.

The LRHS administration will strictly enforce the prom dress code and will deny entry, without refund, to those out of dress code. The dress code can be found on the LRHS website and on building one on campus.
