(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Rivalry week continues tonight as the varsity softball and baseball teams host Braden River. The games both start at 7:00, following a tailgate party.
Last night the LRHS baseball team beat the Braden River High Pirates 7-1.
Mustang head coach Ryan Kennedy said, “Last night was a team that played unselfish baseball who played small ball and gave up their up at bats for the team to win a ball game.”
On another high note, Lakewood Ranch beat Braden River during the first annual Culver’s Baseball/Softball Spirit Week. LRHS generated $4,481.72 while Braden River’s total was $3,395.29. From March 11-15 Culver’s customers informed restaurant staff what school they represented and a portion of the proceeds went to the respective campuses.
Junior outfielder Justin Curtis said he’s “glad to see that people came out and we are grateful for all of their support.”
