(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS flag football team played their first game ever Tuesday night.  The game was held Braden River High and the Mustangs lost to the Pirates 18-6.

Junior McKenzie Mazzella said, “We practice hard Monday through Thursday for an hour and a half after school. I think we played good as a team for our very first game, but I hope we can keep improving our skills for the next game.”

Assistant coach Elijah Weaver said, “In my opinion, I think the game went well and the girls played good together in the weather conditions they had.”

Their next game will be Mar. 30 against Southeast High School.
