LRHS recognized as top high school

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The Sarasota Herald-Tribune this week announced that Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) won the Reader’s Choice Best High School in Manatee County.

The Reader’s Choice Awards is an annual selection that celebrates local businesses and the community. The selections are made by votes from members of the community.

The Herald Tribune stated, “Dedicated to achievement, Lakewood Ranch High School offers students a rigorous educational experience that equips them for college or career readiness in a global job market.”

LRHS Principal Craig Little said the nature of the award gives it special meaning.

“I really appreciate this is a community award,” he said.  “It means people across the area recognize all the hard work of our students, faculty and staff put in to make our school a special place.”

The other finalist in the Best High School in Manatee County category was Manatee High School. Riverview High School won the same award in Sarasota County.
