(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The National FFA association holds an annual week filled with events dedicated to FFA chapters across the nation. While nationwide chapters choose different events throughout the week, they focus them around leadership and team building.

LRHS FFA adviser Janyel Taylor elaborated on the week, “FFA Week is a week dedicated to promoting what FFA is all about; annually we hold a evening called ‘Ag Olympics’ that focuses on team building and recruiting Middle school FFA members to our chapter.”

While some veteran FFA members that have been participating in the week since they joined, others are observing FFA week for the first time.

Longtime FFA member and officer, LRHS Senior Emily Chamness looks forward to FFA week every year.

“I love all of the events that take place and showing everybody what FFA is all about,” she said.

This week, LRHS FFA is having a donation fundraiser until this Friday, Feb. 24 at Tractor Supply on State Road 64. Taylor encourages everybody to go out and donate to the LRHS FFA.
