(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) will be participating at the Mabry Carlton Jr. Memorial orienteering meet. This meet will begin at 10 a.m. on Feb. 18.

There are six schools competing for overall and eight school running. LRHS is sending 25 cadets to this meet.

LRHS senior Mandy German said, “I expect us to dominate like normal.”

LRHS junior Andrew Lim said, “There is going to be a lot of good competition there and we are going to use that to motivate us to run better courses. I expect us to place in all categories.”

LRHS JROTC instructor Lt. Col. Richard Roller said, “I think its going to be a challenging meet due to the fact that we are back in the woods and some of our top runners are not able to attend. We are definably going to have to work hard to come out on top.”
