(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS advanced women’s chorus and men’s chorus went to Manatee High School Feb. 1 to combine with singers there to prepare for the preparation of their upcoming community performance and trip to New York.

This was the first time the two chorus programs rehearsed together.

Senior Parker Wilson, tenor, said “I think it’s really cool to be able to work in individual groups and we all work so hard and when we combine the songs with the other chorus and it ended up sounding amazing.”

Sophomore Giana Dreger, alto, said, “The rehearsal went really well especially because we pulled two different schools with two different directors and made one unique sound, to make one goal; to sound amazing in New York.”

LRHS chorus teacher Giselle Panagiotakis said, “I was already excited to hear the sound that the two chorus’ were going to make.  The kids have been working so hard to get where they are and I know they will continue to work hard to keep up the incredible sound and I cannot wait to hear them at our community performance March 3.”
