LRHS students had very positive views on this change.

LRHS junior Emily Weott said, “I am so glad that we have midterms before Christmas, it lets us have a more relaxed break since we don’t have to worry about exams when we get back.”

Senior Christian Balos agreed.

“I like it a lot. I would rather have Christmas break to enjoy instead of studying. It also reminds me that the school year is half-way done and its only December. I also like starting out with a new semester when we get back from break,” he said.

Junior Jason Chen said, “I like it this way because it allows the student to take the exam and no have to worry about school while they should be able to enjoy their break. Others might say, ‘why would we want to take it now?’ But getting it over with sounds like a better thing to me.”

Sophomore Bryce Larkin thinks the change is a good idea.

“I really like this change because you don’t have to worry about your midterms while you’re supposed to be on winter break enjoying it,” said Larkin. “I like how I can do whatever on the break and not have any homework to do.”

Junior Jacob Enos said, “I like having midterms before break because there’s no point to have them after winter break. Most kids aren’t going to study over the holidays anyway. This way we can get it over with and enjoy the holidays.”
