The SRQ Airport contest challenges public, private and home-schooled students in Sarasota and Manatee counties to create unique works of art and submit them for the opportunity to win a coveted space on the wall of SRQ’s ticketing and check-in area. The top 100 pieces are selected by a panel of judges from art associations in Sarasota and Manatee, and are evaluated on originality, technique and execution, and visual impact.

Teachers of the honored students are rewarded with a drawing for a pair of JetBlue Airways round-trip tickets for each county, which JetBlue donates each year.
