Marching Mustangs ready for Parent Show

Markella Paradissis-Wagner – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Thursday evening the Marching Mustangs will perform their annual Parent Show.

Senior saxophone player Cristina Heupel, said, “The Parent Show is extremely important because it gives us a chance to perform our show again before Finals and show how far we’ve come.”

Some parents have never seen the show from the front. Many times parents are busy working at the concession stand or as Ranch Hands, volunteers who load equipment.

The person who drives the tractor that pulls the pit,  the stationary percussion ensemble, has to stay at the end zone for the duration of the performance so they can assist the pit after the show. Parents that help set up props on windy days often have to hold them up by staying behind them, missing the show.

At State Championships many parent volunteers see the show only on the jumbotron.

The Parent show is scheduled for 9:45 p.m. in the school football stadium.
