Isabella Ortiz – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Seven Mustang swimmers took on state competition this weekend in Stuart, Florida.
Senior Courtney Chapin swam her personal best and broke the school record in the 100-yard Backstroke with a time of 55.46. Sophomore Emily Loefgren placed fourth in the 200-yard Individual Medley and created a new school record.
Sophomore Sebastian Aguirre placed sixth in the state in the 100-yard Butterfly.
Before finals, the Lady Mustangs were seeded to take sixth place in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay but instead took fourth, dropping more time and creating a new school record.
