(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) has a lot of plans for the next few months.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, FBLA is selling breast cancer t-shirts for $5. Mustangs can buy a t-shirt from an FBLA member, club adviser and LRHS business teacher Dr. Bobbi Colson in room 580, or during lunch. Sales will end at the end of October.

Also in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, FBLA is teaming up with a Mary Kay sales associate to sell packages to patients currently going through chemotherapy. Vicki Cussans, who is the Lakewood Ranch Sales Director for Mary Kay, will be delivering these care packages to the Moffit Cancer Treatment Center.

Mustangs are asked to give $20 to an FBLA member or Colson. This money will be used to create the care packages, which will include lip balm and fragrance free hand cream. Cussan will match each $20 donation, so donations will help two patients. These packages will go a long way to help those in need.

FBLA members need to choose their district objective test or presentation by Monday, October 24. A full copy of test options is in Colson’s room and on the FBLA website. Members must write down their topic and hand it in to Colson.

FBLA members will either be taking objective testing in December, the week before LRHS exams or they will be competing through presentation or a production project at district competitions in 2017.
