Seniors lead week-long points contest

Sammy Kedziora and Devin Manning – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – During LRHS’s Homecoming Week Student Government Association (SGA) president Tori Boudreau, senior, is keeping track of this year’s new point system.

Each grade has its own set of points with the possibility of being recognized for having the most spirit for homecoming week.

Currently, the senior class of 2017 is ahead.

At each lunch, SGA sets up a stage and picks the best dressed from each grade to compete for the most applause and win more points for their grade. Attendance of students from each grade level also counts for school events during the week.

At the front of the school are four posters made by students in each grade level that the Lakewood Ranch staff will vote on and the winning poster will win more points for that grade.

Boudreau said, “Depending on all the events, you get 20 points for lunch but other events go down by 5.”
