(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Mustang football has a home game against the Venice High Indians 7 p.m. this Friday night.

“They are very good and have not lost this year. We are hoping to play well and shock the world this Friday,” said Mustang head football coach Mick Koczersut.

The Mustangs are coming off a 7-2 loss Oct. 19 against the Sarasota High School Sailors.

Koczersut said that if they had another chance to play against the Sailors he thinks the outcome would be different.

Koczersut said several Mustangs, juniors Michael Mellquist and Chase Sharp and senior Christian Cahueque had particularly good games last week.

Meanwhile, this contest is a “Pink Out” football game against Venice.
