Jade Edmonds and Grace Harvey – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Mustangs are preparing for the annual homecoming week event the Clash of the Classes.

This year is going to be a little different as the Student Government Association (SGA) tries to incorporate as many people as they can.

SGA member Taylore Homan, senior, said, ” We will be charging $3 for people who want to participate. This year we will be having team captains for each grade level. In addition, Clash of the Classes is being extended to a week long. The grade with the most spirit wins.”

The winning team will receive points based on participating in homecoming spirit events.

One way students can show spirit is by wearing the traditional LRHS class colors; seniors will wear blue, juniors wear pink, sophomores wear green, and freshman yellow.

Meanwhile, one of the LRHS Homecoming Week spirit days has been updated.

Thursday’s “Blast from The Past Day” has been changed to “Decades Day.” Seniors will represent the 50’s, juniors will be the 60’s, sophomores will portray the 70’s, freshmen will dress for the 80’s and staff and faculty will dress in prehistoric attire.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday of Homecoming Week are keeping the same themes. Tuesday will be Class Color Day, Wednesday is Royalty Day, and Friday is School Spirit day.

Mustangs are reminded that dress code will be strictly enforced during Homecoming Week.
