Izabella Selmer – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The football game may be over but the rivalry still lives on. Tuesday, Sept. 27 Mustang volleyball players take on their rivals, the Braden River Pirates, here at the Ranch.
The junior varsity game starts at 6 p.m. and the varsity game follows right after. This is a “blackout game” so spectators are encouraged to break out their all black attire. Prizes will also be thrown into the crowd and music will be playing to keep the crowed excited and get the girls ready to win.
Volleyball coach Perri Hankins said, “We are working really hard to get better as a team and we are learning how to play together and becoming a solid team. I think this will increase our chance to beat Braden River. This game is a big rivalry so our team is fired up and read to win. We have had a pretty good record against Braden River but it’s a rivalry and anything can happen and we are preparing ourselves to win.”
