The rally welcomed students from Family, Career and Consumer Leaders of America (FCCLA), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Technology Students of America (TSA), HOSA (formerly the Health Occupation Students of America) and FFA (formerly the Future Farmers of America).

The rally features an annual canned food drive, a competition between the clubs that benefits the Manatee County Food Bank, and for the first time Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) won bragging rights by donating the most canned food.

Grady’s inspirational talk was filled with fun anecdotes that were really lessons for the students to learn from, he focused on perseverance and determination in building the future. He also included some fun activities like a “Just Dance” clip to get the entire crowd up and moving.

The final event of the rally was the traditional cheering competitions for the prized spirit stick, which the winner can decorate. LRHS finished second to Southeast High.

For new sixth graders to seasoned seniors, the CTSO Rally was a great time to come together and become excited for everything the clubs and this year has to bring.
