LRHS cheerleaders join forces with their summer camp counterparts at this week’s JV game

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)-  Last night’s LRHS JV football game had a group of guest cheerleaders. This summer, the Mustang cheer team held a summer camp for youth. Each girl who attend the camp had the opportunity to see what it is like to be an LRHS cheerleader at yesterday’s game against Palmetto.

The little Mustangs helped lead the crowd in cheers and chants.

“It was so awesome to see girls that we helped coach over the summer cheering on the sidelines,” said freshman Kacy Bua.

The annual event takes place at a JV game. Young girls get to learn some of the Lakewood Ranch cheers and yell them to the stands as parents watch and take pictures.

“I am so glad we get to do this every year,” said JV veteran Alexa Sharp. “It is so cool to see the youth share the same passion that I do for cheerleading.”
