(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS boys basketball team is doing its sixth annual free throw shoot-a-thon fundraiser. This is a fundraiser that allows people to pledge a certain amount of money per free throw made.

The players participating in the fundraiser will be shooting their free throws on Sept. 28.

Head varsity basketball coach Jeremy Shiller said, “the purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money to use during the season. The money raised will cover gear and travel expenses.”

The team is hoping to raise around $5,000.

LRHS sophomore Mark Caraher said “I think it’s a fun way to raise money for the program.”
