Samantha Marino – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Three LRHS seniors are organizing the second annual “Mustang Musings” literary magazine and are looking for submissions.
“The magazine is a great opportunity to show off creative talents and have them recognized,” said Co-Editor Nadaa Hussein, who edited the magazine last year.
The co-editors Maggie Eschmann, Maria Gonzalez, and Hussein urge Mustangs to submit art, video, photography, or literature that they want to have featured in the magazine.
The only requirement for submission is that students include their full name and appropriate (English, art, photography, etc.) teacher’s name attached to it.
Students are permitted to have published work remain anonymously but they must still include their first and last name. They have to specify in the submission that they would like to remain anonymous in the publication.
Content must be school appropriate as it is a high school publication. The journalism department retains the right to reject any submissions and report any alarming material to administration. All works that do get published become the property of LRHS. Send in submissions to journalism teacher Tom Honsa at email@example.com.
Submissions are due by Jan. 13, 2017.
